Post Surgery Care
Once you have completed your treatment, it’s important that you make some preparations
to ensure you have the best possible recovery process. Whenever you undergo cosmetic
surgery or treatment you will need to follow any post surgery instructions given
to you by your doctor. These will be discussed in detail prior to the treatment
and will be based on your individual needs. Your doctor will still be available
after the procedure for cosmetic surgery follow-up care.
As mentioned, your specific care needs will be discussed in detail with your
doctor, but as a general rule, you can expect the following recommendations to improve
your recovery and post-surgery care:
Talk to you doctor
Though our treatments are minimally invasive and are performed to reduce recovery
time needed, your body will still need time to heal and it is important that you
are able to rest during this time. It is natural to a little bruising and swelling
after cosmetic surgery and you will need to rest so you can heal. Take some time
off work; your doctor will be able to advise you how much it will cost you depending
on your treatment, and make sure you avoid physical exertion or strenuous exercises
within this time.
Make yourself familiar with the recovery process
One of the best ways to help recovery is to make sure you can rest and be relaxed.
One way to reduce any anxiety or apprehension about the recovery process is to familiarise
yourself with what is normal, and how long the healing process should be. Your doctor
will be available to answer any further questions you have once your treatment is
completed, but the more you know about the recovery process, the more calm you will
be about it.
